May Challenge Theme: Reconciliation

For the May 2011 Challenge, the theme is "Reconciliation."

The Challenge: Write a story that involves a situation that is reconciled. It may involve individuals, groups, solving a puzzle or mystery - anything that brings people(s) together or brings a situation to a satisfactory conclusion. Thematic elements such as forgiveness, closure, balance, etc. could form the basis for your story.

The Rules:
5,000 word limit.
Please do not reuse a tale previously posted in TrekBBS.
Stories must be your own work.
Utilize Star Trek characters - any era, canon or fanon.
Be sure to post a link to your story on this thread.
Submission deadline - Friday, June 3, 11:59 PM CDT.
Voting will take place June 4-6.
In case of a tie there will be a run-off.
