May 2nd "Simpsons" episode terrorism plot in poor taste

Fox wouldn't show the second Futurama Evil Robot Santa episode because they thought it would piss off Christians, so they waited awhile and instead showed in on Easter Sunday.

Hold on. That isn't true.

The second Robot Santa episode, "A Tale of Two Santas", was held back, but because of the perceived violence and language level. Fox felt it wasn't appropriate for a 7pm time slot. It shelved, but eventually aired a year later on December 23, 2001.

I hear ya, brother.

It's over-blown reactions like the OP that this very episode of The Simpsons was taking off.

Notice the hysterical reaction of one of the people(a woman, IIRC)who shouts something like,

"OH MY GOD - It's an unattended bag!!!"

I hate to sound like a broken record but when we let this govern our lives, the terrorists really have won. Personally, after 9/11 I told a friend that even the labelling of them as "terrorists" was a dangerous thing. We think "TERROR" as soon as we HEAR the word.

They should have been labelled "nuisances", especially since for the vast majority of the world they are barely that. Now, before the bleeding heart brigade jump on me, I mean NO disrespect to the victims of attacks(I was in the US when 9/11 occurred and remember the incredible feelings I had and what was around me)but we MUST try and get this all into perspective.

^ If you call that having perspective, i'd say your grasp on logic and language is a little shaky

Don't give up your day job. Oh no, wait, do.
