May 21, 2011 rapidly approaching, doomsday - ready?

pretty boring today, I could go for some earthquakes. The only bad thing that could happen today is my inhaling of fumes from the cleaner I used on my garage floor.

In a metaphorical sense, the Rapture done did happen for my family today. Because of an inheritance and a trust being transferred over to my wife, we'll be freed of our debts and able to live heavenly.

So is this idiot that "predicted" all this gonna be arrested for citing pubic unrest? Or will America protect him cos he's still a Christian?

Wow, it is possible for this Rapture to happen... everyone has been using the "no one will know the hour," Scripture to deny it, but no one really seems to know the hour... I hear 6 pm local time, I hear 6 pm CDT, I hear 6 pm EDT, now captcalhoun says it's 6 pm PDT.

It's not like I'm going anywhere. Once Bonz has been raptured, though, I'm taking over the board.

I've kinda stayed outta this discussion cause the Rapture isn't something I want to joke about, it will happen. The thing is though, no man will know when it is going to happen, according to the Bible even Jesus does not know when the time will be. I don't think God would allow any man to know if his own son doesn't even know.

The whole problem I have with this is that people are putting their faith in a man, they are putting faith in his word, over Gods word. That is the biggest issue I see here, all the people following this guy are putting their trust and faith in a man, over God.

I'm a Christian btw, but my faith and trust comes from the word of God, in the Bible. He says the Rapture will happen, but we won't know when, and it will happen all at once, the entire world at one time and I'm quoting this: "In the blink of an eye" So this whole rapture by time zone thing is ridiculous. The people putting their faith in this man and selling all their possessions, going on one last vacation, buying that expensive sports car they've always wanted, or one story I read some lady tried to kill her kids over this, all of it sounds more like a cult to me.

WAIT!!

How can jesus not know if god is him? I am not going to try to bring you down, that just sounds fucked up to me.

So you're saying that the apocalypse will be as painful as watching modern Simpsons and that only those that are raptured will be able to watch vintage Simpsons? The horror! :scream:

God sure is taking his time about it. I mean, it has been 2,000 years since the warning, so the probability of it happening during any of our lifetimes is so low as to be not worth thinking about.

I just returned from Mass where Father asked me, and quite politely, NOT to go out on my front porch with my horn at 6:00 pm and play, "The Trumpet Shall Sound," from the Messiah. He was worried that I would actually scare people in my neighborhood.
