May 21, 2011 rapidly approaching, doomsday - ready?

No worries!

The easiest way to remember what time it is in NZ is by keeping in mind that we are exactly 12 hours ahead of British GMT - excluding daylight saving. :techman:

Anyway, I've got some pre-Apocalypse stuff to sort out, so I'll check back closer to the hour to report on what's happening! ;)
 
If anything rapture-like or end-of-the-world happens, I'll post a pic of myself naked.

I've made this promise in other places too.
 
If the rapture happens (and one of my supervisiors took today off to "prepare for the return"), the only thing that comes to mind is "More for Me!!" If he's gone, I'll ask for a raise.
 
Frankly, I am concerned for the kids of these people. It's one thing for reasoning adults who should know better to go along with this, but it's another for young, impressionable kids. When the prediction doesn't pan out, I can't imagine what it will do to them.

Another problem is that these guys did a lot of "coverting" in third-world countries and places without a ton of education. I feel for those people as well - I'm sure there are many people who just wanted some kind of hope and don't really understand that the prediction is from a fringe lunatic.
 
Well, it's only 1:38 am on the 21st in my time zone (Eastern), but it's well past 6 pm in some parts of the world. And another round hits 6 pm here in about 22 minutes. So far, no news of the apocalypse starting. I'm taking that as good news. :)

According to this article in a New Zealand newspaper, we're going to be hit first, so in another 15 minutes I'll probably be having a hard time typing, what with all the shaking that's going to be happening! :techman:
 
Yeah, I saw that. I am a bit confused as to why New Zealand is supposed to be first when there is another time zone that hits 6 pm before you do. But I guess either God doesn't care about the few thousand people living on Kiritimati (Christmas Island) or He just really dislikes New Zealand. :)
