This is what the Transformers movies should have been more like. Major bummer that we had all those shitty Bay sequels, and we apparently still have Bay coming back to it again. 
Of course, the one sequence that is like this is the (fairly brief) Cybertron sequence in Travis Knight's Bumblebee. (My fave live-action TF flick by far.)
