I feel bad for her. I've experienced first hand what dementia can do to a person. There used to be an elderly man who would take his dog to a local dog park. He was suffering from medical issues and dementia. He fell one day, shit his pants big time and was so confused from dementia, he -- just like in the above link -- was resisting help. He was taken away by an ambulance and never seen again. I later found out he went into home care, and somebody else was now caring for his dog. It's sad and the day dementia is no longer a thing, can't come soon enough.
