I don't use consoles *or* buy games off the shelf. The only games I play are ones that can be downloaded, legally and for free. Such as Armagetron Advanced.
I do this for several reasons: 1) Sometimes, the free games are the most fun; 2) I hate copy protection as much as the next guy; and 3) Limited budget (both monetary and time).
