Mass Effect/Firefly request

I was wondering if I could ask a favour of one or more of you fine artist. I've been working on the concept of a Firefly-esque, Mass Effect story set aboard a beat up old earth ship. I've picked a design that I love, but I was wondering if someone would do me the honour of creating a cg model of it, or even simlpy some nice 2D orthos. Now as I said, I already have a design picked out that has already been used in the Mass effect universe, but I was hoping for some views of it a little more beat up. Something akin to the condition of Serenity or the Millenium Falcon. Again, this is simply a request for a favour. If you choose to help me out you, have my thanks. If not, no worries.



This is the design I like, if you wish to modify it, please do. I personally would like to see a cargo door in the foward section, just below the cockpit, just to add to the cargo ship feel. I also find myself liking it in more of a reddish/rust colour tone. Thanks again in advance of anyone who helps!

That is actually a really slick design. As long as there is no time limit and I can use it for my own personal kicks, i'll take a stab at this.

On a side note.... I would view this ship as being slightly smaller to about the same size as the original Normandy,

I'd just like to say - I will make this, its just the past week has been way busier than usual and the only 3D stuff i've done is for an indy film im doing FX for.

So basically, sorry for not doing anything, but I will do something and hopefully soon.

Well, i've spent an hour giving it my best and here's what i've got:

That ship is made up of some really complex shapes, especially in the forward section where those forward engine things are. Those are going to need a lot of adjustments before they look right.

I think the rest is near enough where it should be though. Perhaps the main hull could use some tweaking, but I think the engines are about right.

Ha, I appreciate the vote of confidence but hardly :P

It's just the geometry for the main body and main engines are really, really messy and inaccurate. It'd be a nightmare to detail them, so it's easier to scrap it and start again now I know I can roughly make the shape required.
