I was quoting what Brent Spiner said about it himself. But, why do so many people say Spiner went overboard with his acting, I think his different characters were the best part of this episode.![]()
Brent Spiner said his acting in that episode was, "Some of the most preposterous acting ever done on a television set," and the cast couldn't stop laughing at him as he was filming it.
I wanted to like the episode for being something different than other TNG episodes, but most of that season felt like they were just trying to do variety for the sake of it, rather than doing it with excellence. "Masks" was a prime example of that.
This is the only TNG episode that I have never seen and will never see.
C'mon, you need to watch it.
You've watched all the other episodes, makes no sense to skip just one.![]()
Plenty to go around for all the bad episodes. Start a topic on Up the Long Ladder and I will definitely talk smack about it.I don't really get why the hate is directed towards this episode when Up The Long Ladder exists![]()

And this is spam and has no relevance to the thread. And Lewis Carroll was high when he wrote Alice In Wonderland and Looking Glass. I did not know that for a long time.

Ahh, thanks for that clarification. Moderator whining rescinded. To be entirely fair to them, they were replying to my comment, which did mention Carroll in passing.
Mark me down as another one who really enjoys Masks. I've always had a penchant for the surreal
