It is going to be a story driven action game, with single player or multiplayer options.
Along with the trailer IGN also has a couple of cinematic clips, one featuring Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, and another focusing on Hank Pym, and a clip of the cast discussing their characters.
The cast members featured in the clip are:
Nolan North (Uncharted's Nathan Drake and Young Justice's Superboy) as Iron Man/Tony Stark
Jeff Schine (The Walking Dead: A New Frontier's Javier, and CoD:WWII's Frank Aiello) as Captain America/Steve Rogers
Troy Baker (The Last of Us's Joel, and Arkham Knight's title character) as Bruce Banner/Hulk
Laura Bailey (Infamous: Second Son's Fetch and Spider-Man (PS4)'s MJ) as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow
Travis Willingham (Mad Max (The Game)'s Scrotus, and Spider-Man (PS4)'s Kingpin) as Thor.

The thing that really makes me worried about this game is that its pretty much what is known in the video game industry as a "live service", like The Division, Anthem or Destiny. That means microtransactions out the ass, no real satisfying story (there will be a prologue like we see in the trailer), and a focus on multiplayer missions that only technically allow for single player. Even if they're not lying about the game not being pay to win, cosmetic microtransactions only can be super obnoxious, and that's not even talking about the dreaded loot boxes and how much they'll be charging for normal DLC like characters.

If this was simple a 10-20 hour action game (or action/rpg), I'd be excited. As it is, I'm leaning toward it probably being a huge disappointment, but one that will print money for Square Enix.

Damn, I hadn't heard about the microtransactions and that it will focus on multiplayer that much. That does knock my interest down a bit, I was really hoping for a big story driven game.

I just read a couple more articles on IGN and I'm actually more excited for this now.
First of all, the microtransactions will just be for extra skins, and costumes and things like that.
The main storyline will also be story driven and single player only, the multiplayer option will only come in when you go off to do side missions, and even then it sounds like you will be able to do those by yourself too if you want to.
This article gives a pretty nice overview of everything IGN's people learned about the game at E3.

I don't know, I think it's a bad sign when an officially licenced game looks like more of a cheap knock off than most actual cheap knock-offs.

As for MTXs only being for cosmetics, I wouldn't call that "not bad" so much as "not as egregious as it potentially could be." I mean this is the hottest, most easily saleable product licence on the face of the planet right now. Any half-way competently presented game is guaranteed to sell like it's the secret to immortality or something. Monetising it further AND clearly doing a half arsed job at the presentation only serves to demonstrate that this is nothing but a naked, soulless cash-grab.

I don't know if it's prejudice or something other but when i saw the gameplay trailer i was so underwhelmed that they didn't use the voices and likeness of the characters from the MCU movies (shows how much of an impact these movies had).

Maybe i'm not giving the game a fair chance and i'll wait until more solid information is out or the game is released to make my final judgement and purchase decision.
