It reminds me of Heroes, just with a younger set of "specials."

The same thought went through my head about 10 seconds before I read that.
The trailer was OK, nothing spectacular but I'll at least give it a try.
So I wonder what line about not knowing if the X-Men and Brotherhood exist any more means for the timeline? I'm assuming since it appears to be set in the present, that would mean it's between the epilogue of DoFP and Logan.

Yeah, I'm afraid this doesn't look too hot. Not only have we already had more than one X-Men movie plots of anti-mutant persons with mutant kids (Stryker and Worthington), what will the actual series be like? Even if it doesn't take place in the post-Westchester Incident of the Logan timeline, they're definitely not holing up in the X-mansion anytime soon, or likely ever, which leaves... hanging around in motels, dodging particular captors (shades of Logan again), and solving small-town problems of the week? Doesn't sound like the most promising formula.

Good question. It also could mean that the families involved are simply unaware of the mutants that exist.

One small quibble, it seems all the powers are basically "wave your hands and stuff happens."

That's a bit boring.
