Fox has made its first new series order this season, picking up its highest-profile project and drama front-runner The Gifted (fka untitled Marvel project), from writer Matt Nix and X-Men director Bryan Singer.

Written by Nix and helmed by Singer, The Gifted focuses on a suburban couple (Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker) whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

Marvel and DC shows on the same network. Will the multiverse survive?

Oops, looks like we both started threads at the same time. I guess we should merge?

Maybe they could really blow people's minds and do a The Giften/Lucifer crossover.

I saw that they are shooting the pilot her in Dallas and that Stan Lee was on set. Wonder if he is doing a cameo? Also I wonder if just the pilot is being shoot in Dallas or the whole season is?

Dallas?

That's definitely different than the usual filming locations we hear about. (LA, Vancouver, Atlanta, New York, Toronto, New Orleans, etc)

Looks possibly good but I'm not sold on it yet. I have no investment with any of the characters but I'll definitely check it out because of Amy Acker.

Wow, that trailer wasn't very good. That is probably just about the most generic thing someone could make and still have it vaguely X-Men related. Also, add Polaris to the list of "X-Men character in name/power only", like half the X-Men characters in every X-Men franchise project ever. FOX should really just not be allowed to do comic book adaptations on TV, they're not very good at it (Lucifer being an exception so far, but its not a superhero show, just a comic based one). I'll be skipping this one.

Just saw the FOX fall schedule.
The Gifted is going to be airing at 9pm Mondays, just after the 8 o'clock showing of Lucifer.
(Gotham is moving to Thursdays.)
