Hey all you 2D fight fans, hopefully of the VS games, but it is finally official. With the release of Super Street Fighter 4 a week away, Capcom released a teaser trailer for Marvel vs Capcom 3!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIGkAmYLlGI&feature=player_embedded

No actual gameplay footage yet, but onscreen animation (looks very Tatsunoko vs Capcom-esque) of Ryu fighting Wolverine, Morrigan fighting Ironman and Hulk fighting
Resident Evil 5's Chris Redfield

From what I've read so far, this will be XBOX 360 AND PS3 exclusive. Very curious on what the actual gameplay animation will end up like. Classic 2D Sprites or this new 2.5D animation they used for Tatsunoko vs Capcom, like the trailer is but in Hi-Def. Supposedly it will have an even larger roster than MvC2's 56, HOPEFULLY it will be more balanced, and not have 6 or 7 top tier characters. All in all, I can't wait!

Does anyone know if the original Marvel vs. Capcom (or, better, X-Men: Children of the Atom) available for PC (or Mac)?

So far there in the development stage of around 30, but there's still alot of time left and the guy in charge of it says they will try and fit in plenty more

And to answer your question Cicero, not sure if those ever sold retail for PC/MAC, but you can probably find it via arcade emulator/rom

With Marvel and Capcom officially back in bed together, I imagine we'll see all of the old arcade games popping up on XBox Live Arcade and Playstation Store. There's really no reason for it not to happen; it's money in the bank.

I love these game, but sometime the match-ups seem retarded.

Seriously, Hulk versus anyone that's not magically or cosmically infused is a really, really short fight, let alone some emo human cop with a pea shooter.

You know what would be amazing in these games? Mega Man, but animated to look 8-bit ish. Old school, big head, half as tall as any other character. His special moves could involve his different weapon types. There was a game called MM Battle Fighters for PS2 that Capcom made as well.

Mega Man versus Iron Man: EPIC WIN.

I am still trying to understand how Ken or Ryu could ever inflict any harm to the likes of The Juggernaught.

Heh, if Marvel games were anywhere near realistic (that is to say realistic for that universe) a LOT of things would be different.

Thanos would have an "instant win" button and it would be any of the 6 buttons, pressed once, at any time before, during or after the match.

Blackheart and Shuma Gorath would have the ability to destroy everybody else but the moves to do so would be so complicated and impossible to do that these two would lose to everyone.

After that Hulk hits almost anybody (except Wolverine, Sabertooth, Juggernaut, and Colossus and maybe Rogue) blocking or not and they die (or in Sentinel's case crumble).

Magneto would be the slowest character on the game, not the fastest, he would never use his hands or feet to hit anybody and most assuredly would never be triangle jumping around. And with out all of that he'd still be one of the better characters to use.

Rogue would completely own anybody she could actually get her hands on except for Juggernaut and Wolverine and possibly Sabretooth.

M. Bison would be better than more than half of the Marvel characters.

Cable and Marrow would lose to most of the Capcom Characters.

Sentinel would be 2 stories tall and (this version) would get owned by Rogue, Thanos, Magneto, Wolverine, Colossus, Blackheart, Juggernaut, Doom, Hulk, and Storm.
