I watched the first episode. It was a great start to the season. I was a little surprised they moved things along so fast with the Punisher.I didn't expect him to come face to face with DD for quite a while, so I was shocked when we already got the big fight at the end of E1.
Hell's Kitchen... I took a nice long walk through it in December and I was surprised to see what a posh neighborhood it was, filled with new condos and internet cafés. The one on TV truly is a fictionalized setting.
I also took note that it's a 10-minute walk to Stark Tower. 5 if you run.
Yeah, Hell's Kitchen of today is pretty gentrified. The dirty streets and hard neighborhoods that 80s Daredevil and 80s Teen Titans (Cyborg is also from Hell's Kitchen) took inspiration from are gone. I imagine TPTB are aiming their DD show to be like a quasi-Sin City. Jessica Jones also felt like a crime noir in NYC.Hell's Kitchen... No wonder it had to be filmed in Queens. I also took note that it's a 10-minute walk to Stark Tower. 5 if you run.

love the Jessica Jones reference. Nice to see the MCU tv style coming together.
Honestly though, I can't see Hell's Kitchen deteriorating to that level and in such a short period of time.Which is why it was so clever of them to use the Battle of New York and its aftermath to explain why the Marvel version of the neighborhood had deteriorated back to its '70s level, due to the physical and economic damage of the Chitauri invasion.
