Marvel/Netflix Daredevil Season 1

Juvenile records aren't really sealed, not in my experience. Granted, out of state juvenile records are a bit harder to get, but it's certainly possible (and murders are usually certified as adult charges, unless you're really young). Although that's neither here nor there.

Throwing a TV across a room is not as impressive as it used to be.

(Cellphones and/or tablets.)

Actually having a (real, old fashioned) tv is a sign of advanced age.

DD doesn't have physical super-powers...his athletic and fighting abilities are supposed to be the result of training, not powers.

One thing I'm wondering is if Daredevil has the same main-title sequence designer as Netflix's Marco Polo. They're both based on the idea of paint flowing into shapes.
DD's credits looked very...pink on my laptop.

Not that there's anything wrong with that!
Yes, there is.

:)

If Luke Cake doesn't say "Sweet Christmas" and wear a tiara I'm going to throw my TV across the room. ;)

He will only don the tiara in the last ten minutes of the season, after a long process of careful deliberation and design. :D

More seriously, if they reference "Sweet Christmas" at all, it'll probably be some background easter egg, like on a holiday card on his family's mantel in a flashback.

I can't help but feel that Drew Goddard has really schooled his buddy on how to make a Marvel TV show. This is a great show.

I'd like it if he said it once and everyone on the room stops, turns to him and gives him a 'WTF ?' look.

In the middle of a mass brawl would be ideal...

:)

Yeah, I took it to be a career in porn prior to her recent employment.

I don't believe that today a career in porn has the same negative connotation as during the "Born Again" period...

I mean, Jemma Jameson created a comic book! She was invited by Oxford Union debating society come to Oxford to argue against the proposition "The House Believes that Porn is Harmful."!

Perhaps some kind of "revenge porn" story can be relevant today...

It wasn't the career in porn as much as the heroin while she had the career in porn.

Wait? Did Fisk still own the radio station (WFISK?) that hired Karen as (the radio personality) "The Angel of the morning" even though he knew who she was, who her boyfriend was and she knew that he'd tried to kill her during Born Again, as well as a hundred other different times collaterally?

For successful people (in and out of the adult industry) it's a lot less controversial than it used to be. However, for normal every day people, the kind who do a handful of movies or scenes to pay for tuition and get out, it can still cause problems in general and with some employers in particular.

I imagine the coversation...

Karen: "Foggy... Matt... I have a terrible secret... in my past... I... I ... MADE A PORN!!!"

Matt: "So..?"

Foggy (taking notes): "And your stage name was...? You know... for the sake of completeness only..."

It's not like it used to be depending on where you live.

All over the world, and all over America it is still very much the past.

Difficult bubbles of the past ignoring the present.

(I just had an Under the Dome flashback.

Please someone, please cancel that shit.)

^ I assumed the intro was supposed to be blood, fwiw.

I don't think Fisk was actually in charge when Karen was hired. IIRC, it was actually Larry Cranston (Mr. Fear) who was really in charge at that point.

I assumed that it was a disconnect over how his radar sense works.

The script might have said it was a world on fire, but that never got to the people who managed the credits who painted the world superficial without texture or detail.
