Marvel Comic DVD-ROM Collections

Back in 2006 or so Marvel published a whole collection of DVD-ROM comic book collections. I've always been dying to get them but I never had a DVD-ROM until just now when I was forced to buy a new computer. And now I finally have them!!!

Does anyone else have these? They are the most amazing deal you will ever find. I got the last 250 issues of Amazing Spider-Man for SEVEN DOLLARS WITH SHIPPING. They work perfectly with no technical problems for me.

So far I've bought 20 Years of Spider-Man... Fantastic Four House Divided ... 40 Years of the X-Men... and Avengers Old Order Changeth.

Here's the list I compiled based on Amazon searches along with the cheapest price they sell for:

20 YEARS OF SPIDER-MAN $3!!! 250 issues Amazing ‘87 to ‘06 and annuals
FANASTIC FOUR: A House Divided $5 - 100 issues January 1998-January 2007: Vol. III: 1-70, 500-543, Ann 1998-2001
AVENGERS OLD ORDER CHANGETH $9.25 ($7) 100 issues ‘98 -‘06 Vol 3 #1 - 84, 500-503, New Avengers #1-25, Ann 98-01
40 YEARS OF THE X-MEN $25 Uncanny #1-461 and annuals

HULK KING OF THE WORLD $8 100 issues ‘99 to ‘06
GHOST RIDER COMPLETE $20 200 issues $13.50 or $7 new
ULTIMATE X-MEN COMPLETE $21 70 issues to May ‘061
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN COMPLETE $30 #1-531 June ‘06 575 issues
44 YEARS OF THE FANTASTIC FOUR $33 550 issues to Dec ‘04
HOUSE OF M $38 54 issues
UNCANNY X-MEN APOCALYPSE NOW AGAIN $40 100 issues January 1999-August 2006: 363-474, Annuals 1999-2001
$50 ::: AVENGERS OLD ORDER & UNCANNY X-MEN APOC NOW & FF HOUSE DIVIDED
HULK COMPLETE $55
IRON MAN COMPLETE $63 500 issues to Dec ‘06
40 YEARS OF THE AVENGERS $94 535 issues to Dec ‘05
CIVIL WAR $165 199 issues
CAPTAIN AMERICA COMPLETE $179

It's just so convenient to read comics this way. No plastics, no boards, no tape sticking to the comic as you try to put it back in. And what a price!

It's too bad they didn't make more of these bad boys. Just think every year Marvel could publish every comic they made that year in a single DVD for $20! :D And how come DC never did this?

I prefer to read comics in the physical form, but there is no denying the value you get out of these collections. I got the ASM one that you did and it is a great deal.

I have:

40 years Amazing Spider-Man
40 years Fantastic Four
40 years Avengers
and
40 years Incredible Hulk

I got them all for around $30 each when they were still in print. I was planning on getting the Iron Man, Captain America and Thor collections, but Marvel forced the company making them to discontinue the product line as they were launching their pay as you go online digital comics done in-house. I really hate Marvel's Digital Comics, because all you are doing is renting them. Once Marvel removes it from their site, or if they discontinue the service, all it leaves you with is jack and shit. And Jack's leaving town (to paraphrase Ash).

Ah, so THAT'S why they stopped making these things! That's a shame. Particularly since I'm on dial-up :p I think one day I ended reading like FORTY Spider-Man comics in a single day!!!
