Marlena Moreau action figure?

Lethe

Lieutenant
Red Shirt
This may sound like a weird question but ..... did this ever make it out onto the shelves? Was this a special order/limited edition type thing?

http://www.toymania.com/news/images/0506_marlena_sm.jpg

Amazon has a set of Mirror universe figures that includes this one in the picture but not in the description (the picture was taken by a customer and was of a bunch of the boxes).

Just curious if anyone owns it. I can never find it for sale anywhere... even for a zillion dollars!

^ The toy was offered at the San Diego Comic Convention, along with the other Mirror, Mirror action figures. (Those who bought each of the other four toys received a free Marlena Moreau.)

One was sold on eBay about twelve days ago.

Thanks for the info and the link. And it looks like it did sell for about a zillion dollars on ebay

Yes, I have one. When I pre-ordered that wave as a set (from NewForce Comics), this convention exclusive - in a plastic bag with an explanatory header tag stapled on - came as a bonus.

I tried to negotiate getting just a spare extra single, but by then even the sets were sold out. So yes, she's quite rare.

That's one of the weird things about Art Asylum/Diamond Select Toys. They made a lot of obscure and/or insignificant characters like this chick and Nurse Ogawa, yet they couldn't make major cast members like Quark, Jake Sisko, Tasha Yar, and Guinan. The Ogawa figure is one of the most ridiculous action figures ever. They sculpted her with this absurdly goofy smile, presumably because of how she's constantly smiling in "Lower Decks" and "Genesis".

I remember many, many years ago when I first hit puberty wanting an anatomically correct, lifesize Marlena Moreau action figure.

Would like to see Art Asylum (or whomever) do a TAS-based line of figures. Arex, M'Ress, some of the guest-aliens (BEM, Phylosians, etc.).

I got the Marlena figure at my comic shop. I have her posed on a shelf being held at phaser-point by Mirror Uhura.

If you're still interested in buying one of these, I found one on E-bay. It's out of the box, but cheap.

There was never a box. The 9" figure (cloth uniform) had a box, but this version is the 7". Most 7" figures were carded, but Marlena was only bagged with a small card header/tag attached by a staple.

Art Asylum did card up a single figure to present to the actress, Barbra Luna, at a convention.

I could swear mine came on a card like the rest of 'em.

It is possible a company bought up some bagged Marlenas to card, but that wasn't how they were supposed to be distributed. I seem to recall the captioned pic of Ms Luna's carded figure mentioned the rarity.

The bagged version:
