Mark Wahlberg to play Col. Steve Austin in "The 6 Billion Dollar Man"?

Re: Mark Wahlberg to play Col. Steve Austin in "The 6 Billion Dollar M

From six million dollar man in the 70s to six billion dollar man now. Wow inflation has really taken it's toll.

6 billion?
How about 60 million instead?

Sure let marky mark have at it.

I dunno... I think that if the timing had been right, the ideal choice for Steve Austin would be Tom Cruise -- because no other action hero since Lee Majors has built so much of his career on his running skills. You can't be Steve Austin if you don't have a really cool-looking, powerful run. Although Cruise may be a bit old for the part by now. Chris Evans might also be a good choice; I recall it being said in the Captain America commentary that he did almost all his own running scenes because he had such a strong, distinctive run that was hard for any stuntman to match.

Chris Pine might a better choice for the role as would Charlie Hunnam. I would hope that the movie has current styled visual effects, it's long past time those kind of bionic effects were updated.

I thought Matt Damon had a pretty distinctive run in The Bourne Ultimatum...picturing someone taller for Austin...Cromwell?...too old?...

Why not cast Steve Austin as Steve Austin?
