If you're going to post such a notification, please include why we should know the actor. His name meant nothing to me. I copied the paragraph below from the Memory Alpha posting.
Mark La Mura (born 18 October 1948; age 68) is the actor who portrayed the Zalkonian "John Doe" in the Star Trek: The Next Generation third season episode "Transfigurations" in 1990.

To be fair, I've seen folks (including the more proficient posters) post death notifications of guest actors Or even writers or prop folks across all Trek shows and movies that I didn't recognize even after googling. This newbie isn't the first. At least he included a link

Very true. That's why I only gave the OP some advice for the future without criticism. Posting the Memory Alpha quote was for the benefit of future readers of the thread. We always appreciate new voices in these forums.
