Mark Gatiss to play the 3rd Doctor at Christmas?

Frankly I'd rather see Sean do his own version of the Doctor, rather than just impersonate his father.

So would I and it's certainly far more likely.

Indeed, Sean has said he'd be okay playing the Doctor, provided it's his own Doctor and not just in imitation of his dad's Doctor.

I have to admit, I've never seen any Doctor-ish elements in any of Sean's own screen performances or persona. I could see him more as a modern day equivalent of the Brigadier than the Doctor, though I would like to see how he'd tackle Three. Totally respect his desire not to go there, of course.

^There's a Miss Marple where he's quite posh and buffoonish as I recall.
