Mario Kart Wii online

I think we should start naming and shaming people who blatantly cheat. Why bother cheating? It's no fun for anyone.

how do u play mario kart on the wii- do u have to use that motion controller or does it also work like a standard pad? ive never used a wii, but played the rest of the mario kart series-snes and gba versions are the best. ds version was a disappointment, controls werent as tight as before. Even if u can use a normal pad with the wii version instead of a motion sensored one, id probably end up smashing into everything in the house anyway, mainly out of frustration trying to stay ahead :) lol

Well, you can put the remote in the steering wheel that comes with the game, but I've never used that. I prefer to just use the remote. You just have to get used to the way it works.

a remote to control a kart? sounds bizarre! i hope for the wheel theres something to rest it on so u could turn properly. does the wii have the rumble feature when accidentally smashing into walls? lol.

ill stick to my ds and gta for now :)

There are tons of control options for Mario Kart Wii. You can use just the wiimote, use the steering wheel that comes with the game and put the wiimote inside it, use the wiimote and numchuck, use the wii classic controller, or finally you can even use a Gamecube controller if you want. Like I said tons of choices! :techman:

Personally, nothing beats the Gamecube controller with Mario Kart Wii.

I couldn't pick a favourite MK. The only one I found somewhat disappointing was Double Dash on the Gamecube. All the others are fantastic (though that stupid elastic AI effect on MK 64 is bloody annoying!)

Same can be said for the steering wheel. I do think it adds something to the experience... unlike most other games and the Wiimote.
