March Challenge - Ensign Ro-

Ensign Ro-

Commander
Red Shirt
OK, I had an idea explode in my head just as I went to bed. Decided I couldn't sleep until I brought it to fruition. I wanted to be different, so I thought, "Hey! Why not Spy vs. Spy?" I took my inspiration from a popular promo image for the Mad Magazine series and combined it with the Quog-style Trek imagery. I drew this in Adobe CS5. I ended up really liking the simple design, the simple color scheme, and the just plain fun of it. I welcome your feedback.

Re: My Entry to the March Challenge - Spy Trek

There's something odd going on with the forum today. Ro created this thread but Ptropes response appears as the first post lol.

Great entry from my good friend Roland

Re: My Entry to the March Challenge - Spy Trek

Yeah, it's a little messed up - I spun off Ro's post from the main thread to its own thread, then posted a response, then Ro created a new thread, so I moved my response but it, for some reason, ended up as the first post here. I tried deleting it and reposting after, but deleting my post deletes the whole thread, for some reason, so I guess we're stuck with it this way ...

Okay, since Ro's thread showed as being posted by me, I merged it with the one spun off, so it properly shows as being created by Ensign Ro-. And now I'm going to leave it the heck alone! :D

I'm fairly new here and have to admit, I got a bit confused. I originally tried to post this as a reply in the March Challenge thread but it disappeared when I posted it. Then Solarbaby told me to make a new thread. We must have crossed paths there somewhere.

No problem! Yeah, generally, everyone posts a thread containing their works or works-in-progress for the challenges, rather than adding them to the general thread, and then when the deadline looms, just e-mail your final entry to me at ptrope at gmail dot com.

OK, doing something I usually hate...bumping my own thread. LOL But, being the last day for the March Challenge, and seeing several other entries on the first page, I just wanted others to see this. Hope you enjoy. :-)

My winner-alarm is practically ultrasonic after seeing this... damn fine work.
