Okay, so right now I'm working with somebody on a TOS era story that will eventually be a comic - I'm writing, he's drawing - but I figure the same premise could also be a "lost episode" that I can draw from for the contest. So here are three production sketches from episode 80 of TOS, "The Cost of Freedom":

This is the Orion Trade ship Ikaris' Star. I wanted something comparable in size and power to the Enterprise and this is what I came up with.

This is a rough size and shape comparison between the Orion ship and a bare-bones Enterprise.

And here's a storyboard image showing Enterprise in orbit around an M-class planet and the bow of the Orion ship up and to the right of the screen. I guess this would be the confrontation scene.

That's my story. I'm sticking to it.

Interesting!

Is the fact that the nacelles of the Orion ship somewhat resemble those of the Oberth intentional? Either way, I like it.

Praetor: Nope, I was just adoodlin' and that's what I came up with. I'm not even sure what an Oberth looks like. (Guess I'll look it up.)

Albertese: I'm glad you think so. I went into it with a sort of WWMJD mindset.
