Manifest cancelled at NBC

Sounds like no one's shown interest in picking it up.

For a showrunner that claims to have a 6-season plan, it sure doesn't feel like Manifest has any direction or purpose.

I wonder if Netflix is qaiting to see if people really do watch both seasons they have... if they do rather than just a couple of episodes... they nwed that data to justify continuing.

But you are right... this sure ain't Babylon 5

Being top 10 on Netflix means absolutely nothing. Sure didn't help Hannibal when they first appeared on Netflix. The DTV Bruce Willis Extraction appeared in the top 10 when the Chris Hemsworth Extraction made its debut.

No one knows how Netflix crunches their numbers, especially since they count 2 minutes as a viewing and like to share very little about their process. If none of the Manifest viewers are new subscribers, then they won't give it another thought.

So it seems this show is directionless but also took itself too serious
Missing an opportunity for comedy?

I've been watching it since it started. It was an ok show, but it suffered from X-Files syndrome: An interesting premise and some unanswered questions, but instead of answering those questions it just came up with more questions.

More directionless than endless seasons of 'Supernatural' or 'Walking Dead'?
Worse than JarJar. Abrams tv show 'Lost'

unintentionally funny.

but not so bad its good... aka Starship Troopers, Night of the Living Dead, Snakes on a Plane, Coppola / Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Subway, Toxic Avenger, Maximum Overdrive, Jupiter Ascending, Sharknado, Xena, Troll2, Hercules, Evil Dead.

In anticipation of a Netflix renewal, the show is working to lock down some new and old writers for the fourth season. Are they sure they want to bring back the old writers?

Well, seeing how this might be the actual final season the old writers might want to at least wrap up the show.

I'm a bit surprised at how vocal the fanbase is considering how this show is such a low bar. They act like it's The Wire or something.

I finally finished the season earlier in the week, and I'm glad it's coming, those cliffhangers at end were nuts, and it would have really bugged me if they were never resolved.

For me, what I like most are the relationships... that I feel the characters truly care about each other.

However, I also feel this is like Lost...some cool ideas at the beginning but have a feeling the ending will be haywire

I watch for the actors, but the plotting and characterizations (especially Angelina) of the first three seasons makes me not believe the showrunner's claim of a six-season plan.

Beh, the Wire didn't start to really become memorable until Season 3.
