"Maleficent" movie finally starting to happen

I think the first trailer is better ... the intercutting of the animated film doesn't help ... but I'm still intrigued.

As for the style of the CGI - yeah, that's going to be purely subjective...

Tonally, this trailer is pretty weird. The narrator and the music make it sound like one of those DVD trailers they do for their older animated movies - squarely aimed at a family audience, but some of the images strike a significantly darker note. Lets hope the movie itself has a more consistent tone.

The second trailer's just—nothing special. There's absolutely nothing that would suggest an epic. For whatever reason, it seems like it's trying to set the bar low.

What intrigues me about the trailers so far is that the movie basically just looks like a live action re-telling of "Sleeping Beauty," with an extra emphasis on Maleficent's character. I'm wondering how much new information we're actually going to get out of it.

I honestly haven't really decided what to make of this one yet. The trailers don't wow me, but don't disgust me either.
I did think it was pretty interesting in the last trailer that some of those shots appear to actually be pretty direct recreations of shots from the animated version.

Just saw a preview on the Grammys and I thought it looked pretty good, not sure if it's new or not but it looked better than what I've seen.

That was an impressive trailer. Very different in tone to the cartoon-juxtaposed one. Much, much better. I hope the film conveys a similar mood.

Well when she was younger she had a thing for knives. She also wore a necklace with her ex-husbands blood around her neck.

Now that's some iconic evil. It must be the cheekbones
