That really was cringy. Just imagine what could have happened in "Shuttlepod One" if we'd had our way--a love triangle between Reed-Tucker-T'Pol!
Very true. It could have replaced all that crap about Section 31 that he got in S4 for character development.

Did I tell you I got a note from him back in June? I had written asking for a pic and some research (wanted to make a fan fic more authentic by including some random factoids, really innocuous stuff like whether he has a signature dish he can cook). Guy signed a photo and also sent a short note. Very gracious.

Revolution is meh. It's a very bloody show. Culp plays a bad guy, a kind of government guy with secrets trying to regain/maintain order.

It's sci-fi-ish. It's post-Apocalyptic and it's got nano technology. After that, it's ... weird. More than a little bit of deus ex machina. Seems like the sci fi, fiction & fantasy section already more or less gave up on it, and I have to agree. The episodes I saw seemed a lot like writers saying, "Hey, now we'll make it so he can blow things up! But he has no control over them!"
Plus the lead actress annoys me.
-- And yeah, I'd rather have Culp doing regular Trek. But I'm very glad he'd gotten some steady work, with I think 5 episodes. He hasn't been killed off so far, so maybe he'll return after the hiatus. Then again, getting killed on a series hasn't stopped him from returning.

Yeah, Steven looks younger than he is (and Keating looks a bit older, probably due to smoking, I'd say).
He definitely made his role in JAG bigger than it was supposed to be. I believe I had read it was supposed to be one or two episodes but he got years of mileage out of it.
