the way Maihar'du reacted when the Negus was making new rules of acquisition... thats why he is better.

I wouldn’t want a holographic butler to look human or otherwise sentient. We see so many holograms used as emotional blankies.

If there’s no actual emotion there I don’t want to feel there is.

Unless the being likes to serve? Then again, what makes a sentient being like to serve? Altruism? Naah, that's too simple a possibility. Which isn't to say it's not a possibility, since given the lengthy array of human personality types - of which some can be found in other sentient beings as well as others that other sentient beings have that we don't have... I apologize if anyone took a nap while reading that, I am known for rambling on and on and on and on and on just a tad...

I went with the holographic option. That way a sentient being isn't in servitude, and I don't have to pay anyone.

Kor

It's Star Trek. I don't want to have to deal with the ethical ramifications when my holo-butler suddenly becomes sentient and accuses me of being a slavemaster.

A holo-butler with the face of Dr. Lewis Zimmerman? The beginning of another holo strike!
