Yes, the Queen brought her to mess with Seven. Whether it was story writing or ? He had been a drone as long as Seven had been. If they were up to isolating him & going through the recovery process they probably COULD have brought him along, but that road is paved with: We got Seven and her Dad back, now how do we go looking for her Mom...a tangent that they look to have been trying to avoid in this story line.

I honestly think trying to get people back from the Borg can open up a whole can of worms. If they went back for one person's loved one, why not another, and another and so on

Nah, odds are small that the crewmembers of Voyager know folks who have been assimilated or at least close enough to be rattled by the Queen having them show up....

As for her mom...I honestly don't recall anyone asking about why not go after her mom. I mean threads pop up about Voyager heading for the Idran system instead more often....

Don't even get me started on the dubious wisdom of Our Heroes heading for a wormhole that was unreliable multiple times in only seven years.
