MadMan's Wallpaper Thread (Wide Image Warning)

One more, before I turn in...

EnterprisePosterTwo1440.jpg

(fixed it. don't know what I was thinking. :) )

I'm going to make some more of these posters... Maybe some that are in the same style as the old movie posters? :)

Thanks, everyone. I need some poster ideas... If anyone has a poster they like, that I could use for inspiration, that would help. :)

Awesome, as always, Rick. Still waiting for some sketchbook scans. :)
How are you doing your backgrounds/spacescapes? Those are Very Nice.

Wonderful work.
I'm still not confident about those sketchbook scans. They probably only make sense to me, and it makes me look like I talk to myself. :)

I have started rendering the backgrounds in Blender, instead of doing a composite later. I make the Nebula, or Gas Cloud, as a texture in Photoshop. I then stick it on a plane, in Blender, and move it around until it gets to a spot that I like. I set it slightly transparent, so the stars show through, and then I'm done. :) It looks pretty good in the animation sequences, too.

Well, yeah, same here. Writing notes and stuff in the margins to ourselves and so forth...part of "sketchbook art" I suppose :)

I was really wondering about the nebuale and starscape elements, so, thanks, you exactly answered my question. :)

I don't know if it's possible. But i remember a series of posters that came out around oh ten or so years ago now that showed our favorite ships under construction.

I forgot to add, I have been using the Flaming Pear Glitterato plugin to generate some of the nebulae. It really produces neat things sometimes... sometimes not. :)

That's not a bad idea... Except I guess they are being built on the ground, now. :)

How about a head on shot of the Enterprise with the shield you have in your avatar in the background, all set against a starfield?
