Mad Libs: Doctor Who Episode Edition!

The idea: Try and write a one sentence pitch for a Doctor Who episode. Not a major "The Time Lords are coming back!" or "Susan is River is Amy is the Doctor's Mother! ZOMG!!" style fanfic idea, but a solid stand-alone episode pitch in just one sentence.

In developing the Mad Lib, I worked under the premise that when the Doctor goes to the past he a) encounters a historical figure or event, and b) must defeat a sci-fi element. The Doctor usually finds aliens in the past.

The premise for an episode set in the future is more that the Doctor is often to encounter an old idea or superstition. So whereas he encounters sci-fi elements in the past, he encounters traditional elements in the future (i.e. going to a planet that orbits a black hole and finding the devil, or going to New Earth circa year 5 Billion and finding a morality play on the role of medical ethics).

Try and fill in the blanks in order to come up with the loose plot of a stand alone Doctor Who episode. Feel free to tweak to Mad Lib a little, but try and shoot for a 1-2 sentence pitch of the episode, preferably without anything game changing. The goal is a standard Doctor Who episode, not a major finale.

Doctor Who episode set in the past:

The Doctor and his companion arrive in (TIME PERIOD, PLACE) and meet (HISTORICAL FIGURE), but soon discover they must stop (ALIEN OR OTHER SCI-FI THREAT)

The Doctor and his companion arrive in 1619 and meet Galileo Galilei, but soon discover they must stop the Headless Monks from crashing a giant asteroid into the Earth in order to bring about a new era of religious rule.

Doctor Who episode set in the future:

The Doctor and his companion arrive in (FUTURE TIME/ALIEN WORLD) where they encounter (SCI-FI ELEMENT), but soon discover they must (MORAL LESSON/PARANORMAL THREAT).

The Doctor and his companion arrive in the year 12,005 where they encounter the New Roman Empire in space, but soon discover they must lead a democratic revolution against against the dictatorship of Emperor Caesar XX.

What are yours? :)

I'd actually like to see that... :D

The Doctor and his companion arrive in 1917 and meet Nikola Tesla, but soon discover they must stop aliens (don't know a relevant species), posing as German soldiers, from using Tesla's Wardenclyffe Tower to magnify the power of their doomsday weapon and destroy the Earth.

The Doctor,Amy and Rory, travel back to 1944 and discover that they have already killed Hitler!

The Tardis arrives in what seems like a concrete room with no windows and only one door, on stepping out of the Tardis they encounter the body of a man laying on the floor, Amy rolls the man over and stands up in shook as the Doctor knees to confirm what they all see before them.......Adolf Hitler.....Dead, and in his Chest, a Roman sword....a quick look at the calendar on the large oak desk revels the Date......May 16 1944......just then the Tardis Door slams shut...the Doctor rushes to try and open them but to no effect...suddenly the Tardis engines kick in and the Tardis starts to dematerialise, just as a Mob of armed Nazi SS kick open the door with their guns aimed squarely at our three heroes....the head Nazi speaks..."You have killed da Furher"...he slowly reaches down toward his belt and unholsters his gun, raising it and pointing it squarely at the Doctors face, he screams...."FIRE"......Amy screams...........

Dun dun...Dun dun...dun dun ndu..whoo hoo hooooo.

The Doctor and his companion arrive in 1920s Paris and meet Anais Nin, but soon discover they must stop Immortal alchemists from using Jazz to destroy reality.

The scary thing is, that's actually a description of the last pitch I made to the PDAs before they stopped doing them.

The Doctor and his companion arrive in the 26th Century Solar System where they encounter all the races of the galaxy at war with each other, and Earth caught in the middle, but soon discover they must undo the prevention of the creation of the Daleks, which has led to everybody *not* getting all buddied up against that common enemy.

There you go.

The Doctor and his companions land in London in 1998 in a huge brickyard...a yard literally full of bricks. It seems innocent enough, but does a deadly fate lie in wait for the Doctor? (Possible regeneration episode)

The Doctor and his companions land in Schenectady, New York. Absolutely no wars are going on, and no enemies lie in wait for them. For an hour and a half, nothing happens. :shifty:

The Doctor and his companions land in the parking lot of Dodger Stadium and get caught up in a war...between Dodger fans and Giants fans.
