Smallville fans worried about Allison Mack’s uncertain future on the show can collectively breathe a sigh of relief simma down now. And here’s why…
Executive producer Brian Peterson tells me he’s “very optimistic” the actress — who’s in the thick of contract talks as we speak — will be bringing Chloe back next fall for the show’s 10th season.
Asked whether it’s essentially a done deal (which is what I’m hearing), Peterson says, “We’ve learned the hard way not to say [it's official] until everything is signed and dotted. So the best we can say is we’re really optimistic. And so is Allison.”
Translation: Chillax. She’s returning.

Hope so. :bolian:

I'm surprised this was even reported. Allison as I've pointed out before has resigned with the show pretty late in the going I think as late last year as August and she was 50/50 on things. I hate when media feel the need to report that people are in negotiations just tell us if they've signed a contract or not. That's all we care about. We'll see. Chloe coming back might be enough to save me from dropping the show...

Not having AM/Chloe for season 10 would be a real let down and the show would be done for many of us. To be honest we are talking about a legacy here and to ruin that at this point would be dumb and upset alot of fans.

I lost the show at about Season 5.

Is Choe important for anything in the story recently?

She's basically running the Justice League, having become SMALLVILLE's version of Oracle . . . .

And, oh yeah, she's sleeping with Green Arrow.

Yeah who would of thought a newly created character for a TV show could have such an impact...I didn't think Chloe would have lasted past season 2...I really didn't like AM or Chloe until season 4 or so.

Sigh, I was all ready, preparing to sign off once this season's lacklustre arc was done with. But I guess I can stick around a bit longer. ;)

Only reasons I still watch are A) I've invested 9 years already; too late to give up now and B) My likely fruitless hope that we'll get the big pay-off of at least 30 seconds worth of Welling in costume in the series finale.

I got sick of watching the show after the 30th time Clark permanently lost his powers, only to get them back miraculously, in the nick of time to save someone/country/the world.

Eh.. don't care. Was more excited when I thought she was gonna die. Now, just normal season ender stuff that won't be nearly as impactful.

It's not confirmed yet that Allison will be back/has resigned. I personally think this will play out throughout the summer again with perhaps an optimistic possible announcement by Comic Con. I don't remember her at the comic con panel last summer so we'll see where things go regarding her contract. Still has a couple months left before she has to sign.

I think they are hoping to get it done before the finale airs...it is possible they have filmed something if she doesn't sign and they kill off the character and something where they just leave the character hanging if she does sign on for S10.
