I love how Danny Trejo is bedding women like Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, and Lindsay Lohan.

But I'm also looking forward to seeing Jeff "Frank Laipdus" Fahey and Cheech Marin. And who doesn't like Steven Seagal with swords?

Seagal's an arse, but I hope this means we're going to see him getting diced into mincemeat by Trejo,

I've been looking forward to this since it was announced - Trejo deserves a starring role after all these years, it looks great fun, and I sincerely hope it's not going to be given a fake old-grainy look like Planet Terror

I feel like this movie is the dessert that follows The Expendables in a way. Danny Tejo and Steven Segal could easily have been in Expendables. It also has kick ass babe Michelle Rodriguez. DeNiro has played the bad ass as well even if in a different tone than the muscle bound set of Expendables. So this movie has a respectable testerone factor of old in it as well, and that didn't hurt Sly & Co. at all.

I'll likely check this out and file it under 'guilty pleasure'.

I've been looking forward to this one, pretty much for the same reasons as the Expendables. It looks like a very solid action movie.

My daughter and son, who are both BIG "Spy Kids" fans saw the trailer to this and of course, recognized Trejo as "Uncle Machete" from those movies.. My daughter said she'd really like to see the new movie, so which I not only said no.. I said HELL NO!!!

Had to explain to her that while the character is technically the same, this is an adult-oriented movie and certainly not for kiddos. Her tender 13 year old heart was saddened, but she understood.. LOL

I guess the violence inherent and obvious in the trailer wasn't enough to show her that it wasn't a movie for her..

No.. Not really.. But the character appeared in the Spy Kid movies, portraying the kid's uncle.. They were cameo moments at best.

I have no doubt that there will be no Spy Kid moments or elements in the new movie, so don't worry..

For me, Spy Kids held no interest for me because I don't see it as geared toward my age group.(I also don't have any children yet.....or that I know of. ) So I've never seen any of them and wouldn't know that Machete appeared in those films. I would assume that might hold true for many.

Same here, I've not seen the Spy Kids flicks for the same reason. It's also why I didn't bother getting into Harry Potter and even though they are now of age and likely relatable I'm so far behind I just don't bother.

Very good points.. I forget that not everyone sees everything.. Especially when kids are involved.. The movies are pretty cute (and Carla hot!), but they are pretty fluffy.
