Have you been to Barcelona before? I went maybe 8 years back and don't think I fully appreciated it. I'd like to go again now I'm a little older.

Never been to Barcelona. Only bit of Spain I've seen is Menorca, which isn't quite the same. I won't have much exploring time... but I do hope to see the Cathedral, and a few other bits. And maybe a shop or two.

Otherise, I gather the conference events end by about 6pm each day, and there seems to be some idea of some sort of party. How do geeks party?

That's freaking awesome! Love that little device as well as the trip! Congrats on that and have a blast for all of us who can't share it with you. I know a friend of mine went to Barcelona, Spain and just adored the place! She lived there for six months with a host family and did some schooling there.
