Lucas working on CG fairy musical?

Kind of weird, although he's only producing and the director of TMNT and writer of Elf are working on it as well. Plus it's nice to see that Lucas's animation studio wasn't just made to produce Clone Wars.

If he wants to sell me 16x9 DVDs of the OT to help pay for it, I'll gladly help.

But seriously, it's nice to see him finally branch out. I've always wondered if the PT would have been better if he had kept making various films between ROTJ and TPM and gotten some practice in.

I'm not one to hate on Lucas or even pre-hate a work of his because it's really very, very trite by this point. But a fairy musical from the TMNT director and the Elf scribe? I have difficulty imagining that the end result will be good, to put it mildly. I will grant that for TV The Clone Wars looks very nice, though, it's the first series I made a point of watching in HD and that paid off rather well.

Uh, he did. Not as a director, but as a producer - the Indiana Jones movies, Howard the Duck, Willow, probably others.

Of course producer was his role on ROTJ and for that matter this film so I believe it's applicable.
