LT Saavik, Robin Curtis

I just saw an ebay listing of an 8X10 picture signed by Robin Curtis. She was in a Grey over Black Nemesis uniform. What was that in? I do not remember her ever wearing that.

I was curious, so I looked it up and found that there are a few of those listed.

It's not a actually a "Nemesis" uniform. That's her outfit from when she played Tallera, a Vulcan disguised as a Romulan, in the TNG two-parter "Gambit."

That card in the ebay listing just used "Nemesis" as a marketing connection because it had to do with Romulans, and the character was (sort of) Romulan.

Just a pretty well done photo edit. The same artist has Kirstie Alley in the exact same uniform.

Yes, that's definitely a photo edit. Ms. Curtis's head was clearly taken from a 1980s Saavik photo, while the gray and black starfleet uniform did not exist at that time, as it first appeared in 1996 in "Star Trek: First Contact."

From the looks of both of those pictures, it was the uniform that was edited in, not the actresses faces.

That's absolutely a photoshop job, taking one of the shots of Saavik from III or IV and pasting it over a still of Troi or Crusher from one of the films, or maybe Kira from the last few episodes of DS9.

Either way its absolutely not a legitimate photo. Someone should report that guy to eBay for trying to sell it.

I don't think it matters whether the picture itself is an actual photo or some kind of artistic rendering.

More importantly, is the autograph itself real?

An actor might just smile and sign whatever pictures a fan brings to him/her, whether it's a photo, a poster, or a comic book drawing of the character.

Perhaps you're right. The background looks like a Klingon vessel, but not the Bounty from STIV. That's most likely Kira's body from the end of DS9. The other pic is definitely of Kirstie Alley with the uniform shopped in though.

Remember reading they wanted Kirstie Alley as Savvik standing next to Kelsey Grammer in Cause and Effect. if thatd happened maybe she (or Robin) could've been in one of the TNG movies (Nemesis) as Savvik wearing the FC uniform
