ABC and PARAMOUNT should join forces and to a LOVE BOAT:2410. Of course it wouldn't be a boat, but a "STAR TREK" era cruiseliner. It would feature stories like LOVE BOAT, you know...ROMANCE!!! and it would also sometimes deal with more serious stuff...this show would attract, ta-da, women!!! and would also throw bones for the men/trek fans....

And, like LOVE BOAT, it would air at 8pm Saturday Nights on ABC!!! (Big time network)

Um, I think they did that already in 79/80 or so...it was called Buck Rodgers in the 25th Century. It aired on NBC.

No they didn't in terms of what I mean..

Here is what I mean...a crew of regulars. Captain Stubing--Isacc--Gopher--Doc...then three rotating plots per episodes..maybe a Klingon/Cardiassien couple finding difficulty in their marriage...A stow away kid who ends up in the room of a codgy old fart and gets into lots of comic trouble. Codgy guy adopts the kid at the end...and maybe a Man/Wife who have decided to divorce...try new loves on the episode and decide to go back to each other...

That kind of mushy stuff. YES aimed at women and regular people but so what? Love Boat, which I starte watching recently with my wife, lasted for many years....

No they didn't in terms of what I mean..

Here is what I mean...a crew of regulars. Would this be what the beginning of Love Boat:2410 would be like?

I was young back in the days when "The Love Boat" was on, but I remember the Saturday night line-up.

It was:

* TJ HOOKER at 8: pm

* The Love Boat at 9: pm

* Fantasy Island at 10: pm

I'm like >95% sure that's what ABC-7's Saturday night lineup was. I am remembering correctly yes

I remember the TJ HOOKER with Leonard Nimoy getting alot of hype before it came on. I'm pretty sure that was around the time TJ Hooker II: The Wrath of Mr. Roarke came out.

I recall a "Fantasy Island", that came on around November or December of 1982 I think, ending with a promo for an upcoming episode guest-starring Gilligan encountering dinosaurs. But it didn't air for like 6 months after that. Well, I didn't see it till either March or April of 1983.

Makes me wonder what 23rd &/or 24th Century Trekverse versions of "TJ Hooker" & "Fantasy Island" would be like
