Ben, Sayid, Desmond, Jacob, Sawyer, Locke, Richard Alpert

No Offense, but those spoilers are kind of like saying either Obama, Clinton, or McCain will be the next president.

Well, it's narrowed down a lot.

Dark UFO has posted what they claim are major spoilers for the finale.

So if you wanna know who (they say is) the person in the coffin is, head on over.

However, the overall synopsis sounds a bit fishy to me... It could be a foiler, but it still makes for an entertaining read.

Well I'm not adverse to being spoiled (especially since I'm going to be out of town next week and won't be able to get to it for awhile) and I read the spoiler. Interesting to say the least. IIRC, they were dead on the money with their season ending spoiler last year, so I'm going to assume it's accurate this year as well.

EDIT TO ADD: Upon further reflection, I'm kind of changing my tune, maybe that is a "foiler." For one thing, it seems to lack the trademakre LOST WTF moment. Nothing that happened seemed terribly surprising and much of it could have been taken straight from the posts in this BBS.

If it is real, maybe it will play out differently onscreen, but it sure seems to lack that moment at the end that we've come to expect (or maybe it doesn't contain all the info and there are still some surprises to be seen.)

There's definitely stuff missing from those spoilers. For one thing, look at the cast list for the episodes. It includes Penny, Widmore, Abbadon, that dude from the Antarctic station and Walt, yet there's no mention of any of them in the spoilers. Plus, there were confirmed reports that Josh Holloway was seen filming something in LA that had to do with the finale, but no mention of that either.

I'm having fun reading the talkback comments on the episode, people arguing the validity of the spoilers and there's strong arguments for and against.

Apparently the DVD version of Through the Looking Glass was edited. On the original broadcast you see Jack leave the funeral parlor, but on the DVD it cuts while he's still standing at the coffin. That fits with the spoilers posted, which say that there's a scene that takes place in the funeral parlor immediately after the original coffin scene. Did and Damon and Carlton make an edit to the DVDs to suit the 4th season's storyline?

Its not without precidence, episodes of futurama's earlier seasons that featured the freezing lab have had nibbler and fry edited in under the table to match up a certain season four episode.

As always Dark UFO posted these spoilers with this disclaimer attached:

As I've said a 1000 times, these are highlight and there are obviously a lot of scenes that are in the episode that are NOT described here.

I'm 100% that the season 3 finale on the DVD set is the same version as aired. The only difference is that they split it into 2 parts for some weird reason.

I hope none of that is true, but remember, there is supposed to be a "frozen donkey wheel" of some sort.

I think that's the wheel in the ice in the Orchid or whatever... or maybe it has something to do with the Arctic station?

Hm, that all seems very underwhelming. I'm tipping they're leaving something very big out. Also if the part about the wheel is true, I'll be a bit annoyed, unless we get something much better along with it.

If that's who's in the coffin it's going to be an "oh, well that was coming" moment.
I guessed that person after viewing the finale when it originally aired. So that should be my reaction too if that spoiler is true.

from Kristin

Malik in Bangkok: I love Lost! Is anyone going to die in the season finale?
I can tell you that a series regular who has been on the series since the first season will not be back next season (season five). According to inside sources, this person's contract has been put into a holding deal and the plan at this point is to have him or her return for season six. Guesses? (OK, I'll spare you the frantic emails: It is not Jack or Sawyer. It's a she.)
Sounds like no Clarie next season to me. I mean there's only three left to choose from: Kate, Sun and Claire and obviously the first two will be rather busy.

Wendell in Santa Fe, N.M.: Lost, girl! Spill! What can you tell me about the very end of this season?
Remember how I told you that time traveling and teleporting is most definitely happening?(Duh) Well, let's just say that it's going to be happening on a much larger scale in the coming seasons. And if I tell you any more about that twist, I will break the heart of this sweet guy who's name rhymes with "Hey, mon" and karma will see to it that I return in the next life as grasshopper poo.

So, what is the gist of the finale?

Well in another thread I posted the following questions. Basically the spoiler info indicates that these 4 questions will be answered.

I'm kind of watching now to see: 1) How exactly did just these 6 get off the island? and; 2) Why did everybody else stay behind? and; 3) Why the lies? and finally; 4) Who was in the coffin?

If that's who's in the coffin it's going to be an "oh, well that was coming" moment.

As I mentioned above, I had the same reaction, but I'm guessing that what it supposed to take place after the coffin reveal will be the focus of season 5. I don't know that for sure, just making a guess. And I guess upon further reflection again, what Jack is instructed to do is the WTF moment.
