Lost SPOILERS Freighter!

Yeah, it's probably Ben, now that I think about it, but Desmond and Juliet both really want to get off the island, so I hope nothing happens to them either... :(

Gah! There's full spoilers for "The Economist" and "Eggtown" up over at DarkUFO. There's no way I'm gonna make it 'til Thursday without reading those, but I'll sure as hell try.

If you read them you'll hate yourself. Trust me.

I just read the ending to Eggtown, and I hate myself somewhat, but it's I hadn't already heard. No more spoilers. I wish I had something that would shock the frak out of me when I read spoilers.

^

Actually, I already know the WTF from the end of "Eggtown", so that sucks. But I don't know anything else about it or "The Economist" so I'm not too screwed. Really wished I had saved that one for actually seeing the episode though.

I just looked at the spoilers for the Economist and it's nothing I didn't already know either. That is a HUGE WTF??!! It's definitely too off the wall the be untrue as well. It's some serious fanboy junk.

From Kristin:

Veronika in Warsaw, Poland: Anything on episode six of Lost? I'm dying to know at least a little tidbit here and there.

The flashback features a look at Juliet's history on the Island, including her reaction to the death of her lovah Goodwin at the hands of Ana-Lucia. I truly cannot wait to see Elizabeth Mitchell in action again.

Malena in Providence, Rhode Island: What exactly do the Lost boaties want from Ben? Is he an enemy or a curiosity?

It won't be clear for some time to come. According to Rebecca Mader, who plays Charlotte and is totally lovable in every way, "I really don't know what we know about Ben, and I don't even know what we know about the Island, so I just had to play Charlotte that way. [Laughs] I really didn't know what the f--k I was doing!"

Peter in San Antonio, Texas: Do you know anything more about Miles' powers?

I don't know about Miles' specifically, but I have heard from two different sources that in an upcoming episode the boat folks appear to test each other for psychic powers. Hmmm...

an extra speaks - dead and dying redshirts?

Good news, Lost fans: With the end of the Writers Guild strike, the ABC drama - slated to run just for eight episodes - may be able to roll out a complete, 16-installment season this spring.

That';s according to Reuben Games, a former Boston waiter who you might recognize as one of the ubiquitous extra castaways in the hit show.

We have eight episodes done, and two have already aired, said Games, a former Sonsie server who left Boston to try show biz more than 10 years ago. It takes two weeks to film an episode so if we get going right away, we might be able to pull it off.

Games, who is in Hawaii awaiting the restart of Lost shooting, got his big break right inside the Newbury Street eatery when he waited on Anna Strasberg, the widow of famed acting coach Lee Strasberg, and charmed his way into a spot in the oh-so-prestigious Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in New York.

But success has been a long time coming for Games, who previously went by the name Reuben Gonzales. In fact, he was ready to chuck the whole acting thing for real estate when a casting director from Lost gave him a call.

It's been a great ride and it led me here, he said from his apartment in Oahu.

Currently, Reuben - and a dozen or so other bit players - wander around in the background during many Lost scenes, playing other survivors of the plane crash who have no storylines. He said he is hoping that, at some point, the writers will integrate them into the action.

Unfortunately, an earlier attempt to do just that, with background survivors Nikki and Paulo, (Kiele Sanchez and Rodrigo Santoro) didn't fly with Lost fans and the couple was quickly killed off.

The same fate may be awaiting Reuben & Co. because, he said, the seen-but-not-heard castaways are starting to be killed off.

I'm hoping for a glorious end, he joked.

Meet three more of the 'freighter people' from 'Lost'
.
Following the Tailies and the Others, another group of newcomers has landed on Lost.
.
While hurrying to get their show back into production, producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse e-mailed a quick introduction to "the freighter people," who supposedly helicoptered onto the island from a boat out in the Pacific: "They are the first true 'outsiders' to come to the island since our crash survivors, and that makes them unique. In addition to keeping the flashback premise alive with mysteries of their own, these guys fit into the overall story in ways that will become abundantly clear as the season unfolds."
.
Here's more on Lost's fresh faces.
.
Ken Leung, 38
.
Character: Miles Straume, the hotheaded L.A.-based ghostbuster who takes cash to rid people's homes of spirits.
.
Producers' hint: "Miles isn't here to make friends. He's here for something else. And it ain't what he told us at the end of Episode 2. (That they had come for Ben.)"
.
Where you may have seen him:The Sopranos, Rush Hour, Keeping the Faith
.
Quotable: Described as shy by some, Leung concedes, "I've been hard to get to know." But during breaks in filming, he has found a "smoking mate" in Naveen Andrews (Sayid). As for his character, Leung says, "I trust the dead more than the living." Much remains a mystery, but he is most curious to learn for whom Miles grieves.
.
Jeremy Davies, 38
.
Character: Daniel Faraday, described as a "head case." He was seen sobbing in front of his TV set in Massachusetts as he watched news footage of the salvaging of sunken Oceanic Flight 815.
.
Producers' hint: "Physics can be fun. They can also be incredibly dangerous. Watch Faraday demonstrate both."
.
Where you might have seen him:Saving Private Ryan, Charles Manson in the 2004 TV remake of Helter Skelter
.
Quotable: Davies declined an interview request.
.
Jeff Fahey, 55
.
Character: Frank Lapidus, the pilot who was supposed to have flown Flight 815 and was a friend of the pilot who took his place.
.
Producers' hint: "Lapidus is like a lot of fans of Lost— he never takes anything at face value. A true conspiracy nut, he has probably seen every episode of TheX-Files, and that's going to pay off for him."
.
Where you might have seen him:Lawnmower Man, Silverado, TV's The Marshall
.
Quotable: Having volunteered for years at Afghan orphanages, Fahey says his relocation to Hawaii is "a dream." One sweet coincidence: Frank was his late father's name, and his mother is getting a kick out of that. He has had fun working with Josh Holloway (Sawyer), his co-star in the 2001 film Cold Heart, and Andrews, with whom he appeared in Grindhouse.
