So what color do you think the final season cover art will be?

Well TVShowsonDVD is reporting that there will be a special 'Dharma Initiative Initiation package' edition of Season 5, and although they've not got any more details on what it'll contain, the retail price is supposed to be $120, compared to $60 for the normal DVD set...

I've had the main image as a desktop for a few weeks now. Apparently Jin wasn't in the main cast photo for the season to add to the surprise for when he did return. Though they kept Daniel Dae Kim in the credits at the start so it kinda spoiled things.

I also read that he would be photoshopped back into the cast photo after he reappeared but maybe they changed their minds?

Yeah, they had the same problem as in season 4, when Michael's SHOCKING return was more like "hey look, it's that guy who's been in the credits for 7 episodes and we all know is going to show up." I guess that's how the contracts or unions or whatever work. I've trained myself to avoid looking at the guest stars at the beginning of episodes, because otherwise I know if Walt or Christian or whoever else is going to show up.

As for the cover, looks good. They tend to pick the best promo poster and convert it to a box. It's been light blue, orange-ish, green, darker light blue...what other natural earthy-colors are left? I'm thinking a different shade of green, maybe.

Nice look to it. Very timeflash-y, and nice separation between the on- and off-island groups.

I don't really like it. Looks very washed out and too white.

Of course, I'll buy it anyway, but it won't be my favorite season box set.

They don't want to spoil the DVD for people who haven't seen the episodes yet.

I'm glad they decided to include the newer cast members on the boxart this time. I was disappointed the Freighter Folk didn't make the box art for season 4.

Anyone know what that Limited Edition Dharma Initiation Kit is all about?

Can someone tell me what was that book they gave along with the season 4 set? I didn't buy it because they tried to charge the same price for about 10 fewer episodes.

considering most of the season involved flashing thru time, i think the white washed out glow works really well.
