LOST: Not one but TWO soundtrack releases for season 6!

Okay, I received mine the other day, and this release is really the best of the best of the "Lost" scores... a real capstone of Giacchino's work on the series. It reminds me of the score for the final episode of "Battlestar Galactica" by Bear McCreary on the season 4 soundtrack second disk... incredible.

After listening to the complete score to The End several dozen times already I'm completely mystified why Giacchino didn't win an Emmy for Best Score. A true tragedy.

Apparently this is still available, since I just ordered a copy. Really looking forward to it, as I've been listening to the previous season soundtracks at work the last week or two.

If anyone's interested, Filmtracks just reviewed all of the Lost soundtracks, including the final episode scores, giving the entire set 4/5 stars overall.

I completely agree with you. While watching "The End" I thought for sure that he'd win one. That loss, coupled with the fact that Bear McCreary was never even nominated for his flat-out amazing work on nuBSG, made me forever lose any respect for the Emmys...

Could part of it be that a lot of the music for "The End" isn't original to that episode?
