you're right on that count when voyager went back in time to the late 90's earth then was soppsed to be in the eugennic's war . but we saw no sighn of fighting .

There is a model of the DY-100 on the desk of Rain Robinson, I always took that as a nod towards Space Seed and the eugenics wars.

A World War doesn't mean the fighting all over the world, it simply means countries from all over the world are involved. There were plenty of parts of the world where there wasn't any fighting in WWI or WWII, like mainland USA for instance. The closest the fighting ever came was Alaska and Hawaii.
