Although one reporter is skeptical based on simple math. I guess Kate could argue she wasn't showing yet (which does happen at point, just not very often).

There are stories of people who are pregnant but people don't know (hell, some people manage to hide their pregnancy until they give birth).

Yeah, but it's still not that common. I remember a Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode where a girl tried to claim she didn't even know she was pregnant until the baby came out. Stabler and Benson were quite skeptical (and if I remember correctly, she lied).

My mom is a nurse at the ER of my town and she says that it happens like twice a year. The girls would come to the ER with "acute cramps in the belly" and the girls are clueless when they learn they're pregnant.
