Lorca's Tribble

KirkPicard

Captain

Will Lorca's tribble be a key in staving off the war for a time as they are an "ecological menace?"

Isn't it dead? I thought we saw it disemboweled (in an under glass display?) in a later episode.

It was never disembowelled, no. But I think later episodes forgot to include the purring sound even though the tribble was on screen, so interpret that how you will.

I'm almost certain I heard a tribble purr in one of the scenes where he was standing on the bridge of the Charon.

That was a different tribble.

You see it on his desk in various episodes of the season after you see the one in his lab.

My cock, I know. I'm just saying, the tribble in the ready room did in fact have an offspring, which Lorca operated on. Clearly, there was no more tribble breeding after that.

Probably neutered it.

Why do you love talking about your dick so much?

I like the (joke) idea someone put forth about the writers suddenly realizing that Tribble was a bad ideal so far as having a Klingon spy aboard. So they snuck in one night and exchanged it for the dissected one. Then, whistling past the graveyard, snuck back out promising each other to never speak of it again.

I thought he was talking about this:

The tribble was actually Lorca's pet tribble from the MU. In the MU Tribbles don't hate Klingons. They hate Romulans. Also, instead of the Great Tribble Hunt conducted by the Klingons, the Tribbles conducted the Great Romulan Hunt, hence why we don't see them in the later episodes. Knowing that they would be overrun if someone learned that the Romulan Empire was taken over my fluffy purry cutsey balls of furr they pretended likethe Romulans were still in charge, hence the Terran rebellion in DS9 trying to contact them.
