Looking for an online Artist.... (FOUND!)

TrekCross

Ensign
Newbie
I have been seeing a lot of artwork online last few years by an Artist that goes either by the online name of Reverend or Reverend Trigster. I have spent two days trying to see if this person has a website or area where they post their Star Trek art? I have found one of some real cool DC Comics that the same artist does, but not any one collection of the Star Trek works.

Thanks

John

Re: Looking for an online Artist....

LOL yea, just as I mentioned in my post, curious if you had a site you post all your Trek art on. I have been really facinated by your Utility Craft art such as the Atlas, Denava and Hauke. It is actualy refreshing to see those other type of craft. Not to mention the work is just damn good.

Re: Looking for an online Artist....

Unless you count my photobucket account, no, I don't have a site for my trek art. Mind you I think pretty much everything of note is either on ASDB, JoAT or posted here. Honestly I haven't touched any of it in years so I don't even remember the half of what I've done.

But thanks and yes, the utilitarian designs were something of a speciality of mine. Partly because I felt they really help to flesh out the world, but mostly because I detest the way most fan designs at the time were mostly overtly militaristic uber battleships. To me, that's not what Trek is supposed to be about.

Re: Looking for an online Artist....

Yep, totaly agree with you. I play the old FASA Star Trek Game, and am using some of your ships to create stats and am going to introduce it to my kids this summer. Let them see that not everything is to defend the frontier, sometimes you just got to get product from location A to Location B safely, or maybe explore a new system before a colony comes in to settle (The Antares is perfect for that.)

I will try to get onto you Photobucket this evening, the only one I saw yesteday was your deck plans for the Denava but did not try to delve in too deep as helping kids with finals and last minute essays. Thank you for responding.

Re: Looking for an online Artist....

^Here, though I have no idea if it's browsable for anyone besides me. Keep in mind it's full of random crap, so be prepared to dig. The trek stuff is probably mostly at the back.

Set up as a private gallery, yeah, one needs a password to view anything.

Sincerely,

Bill

EDIT: Kaiser beat me to the punch.

Re: Looking for an online Artist....

cont...

Yeah it's a mess, but that should be everything trek related that isn't a logo, dedication plaque, some WIP or a crappy sketch up.

Re: Looking for an online Artist....

I LOVE your TOS spin upon SpaceDock One! It reflects the design motif of the K-7 station but has elements we recognize in "The Search for Spock".

Sincerely,

Bill

Re: Looking for an online Artist....

I love how you've adopted some of the TNG docking saucer style hardware into the FJ style pod. That's freaking brilliant!

 Wow, thank you very much, that is stunning stuff sir, No wonder you have not touched it for a while with all that detail you put in it, it must be time consuming.

Re: Looking for an online Artist....

Ok, what excatly are the H-8611, is that a tank? And is the Erewhon a freighter.

Re: Looking for an online Artist....

It's a militarised version of a design I did, based on a shuttle that appeared in TAS. Normally I don't do that, but someone asked and I figured "why the hell not?" I think the original is somewhere on JoAT. Though it is armed, I couldn't help giving it a somewhat utilitarian role and envisioned it as an analogue to real world utility helicopters (Huey, Lynx, Black Hawk etc.)

As for the Erewhon, it's a personnel transport and it's canon...sort of. I extrapolated the design from the partial sets that appeared in an episode of DS9.
