These videos think Star Trek 2009 holds up, but the second video thinks the later movies squandered the momentum that Star Trek 2009 built.

For me, STXI was the beginning of a new, epic era in STAR TREK... not only was it was never that epic like in STXI, but it wasn't a real era either...
