Just saying it's not quite the unknown relative trope.I know that...I've seen the show
no, its ST's very clever way of using bullshit science to create a bad guy out of a good guy (evil twin)Just saying it's not quite the unknown relative trope.
Evil twin is a different trope. Sometime its a relative other times just a look alike. Was Tom a badguy?no, its ST's very clever way of using bullshit science to create a bad guy out of a good guy (evil twin)
Maybe not the same ballpark but definitely the same sport. Tom wasn't evil but he was a jerk with bad intentions. Besides, he was mean to O'Brien.Evil twin is a different trope. Sometime its a relative other times just a look alike. Was Tom a badguy?
If you could create a clone of yourself, would you be related?
This is problematic, in a way. On one hand Humanity has access to medicine that will make you believe in Miracles, again. For example: correcting for a disfiguring accident is most easily achieved. On the other hand, Humans live to be well-into their hundreds - not as youthful individuals. but rather, surviving day-to-day with the ravages of Old Age. They're called the Golden Years, when they should be called the Rust Years. And the Grim Reaper's death-dealing has lost none of its potency ...^My issue with TNG is that by the end of the show, every main character has a dead parent or both.
