London 2012 mascots announced

I give up. New words are needed to desribe their crappossity in full.

I designed a mascot for the 2012 games, named Meddles the Raven. He was a cute Tower of London raven with a hat, the olympic rings across his belly and three medals around his neck. I tried to give him an expression of slightly cheeky and very enthusiastic. I believe that if I simply use my imagination to substitute Meddles for these walking one-eyed trouser snakes, and project him in their place, I might be able to tolerate this. I suggest anyone else who designed a mascot do the same.

They really are poor aren't they?

Just like the logo, give the public half an hour and we get better results for free. this woudl have been brilliant.

I'd never even heard of the concept of Olympic mascots before today, let alone been able to identify any of them.

I agree. With a little bit of refining and colouring that would be perfect.

But let's not forget that these are the same guys who thought "Lisa gives Bart a blowjob" would be a good idea for the Olympic Games' logo.

The girl who drew them said that Brockley will be the Paralympic mascot; Finsbury for the Olympics.

On further thought, they remind me more of Kang and Kodos, or maybe that's what you meant anyway.

I much prefer both the Lion and the Unicorn, and the Fox and the Badger.
