Looks pretty good, but I'm not sure that I like Kaa's voice (which I infer to be Scarlett). It doesn't seem right. I'll keep an open mind though.

Two Indians in the cast and the main character played by an Indian! See, that wasn't so hard. (...ahem, Star Trek Into Darkness....)

It certainly looks cool. And Disney's "reimagined fairy tale" things seem to do well at the box office. Despite the CGI-fest, it might be pretty good

Not only does it look great, but it's got a killer cast. Idris Elba as Shere Khan and Ben Kingsley as Bagheera are inspired choices, but Bill Murray as Baloo? Perfection. But not only that, he'll perform "Bare Necessities." Instant. Gold.

They've released a series of portaits depicting the voice cast and their characters. For some reason we don't get Bill Murray and Baloo.

Yea I was thrown by that. It looks ok otherwise though. Guess I'm just used to Kaa being played by a guy (not being sexist, it's just what I was used to; grew up with the cartoon version of the Jungle Version and that's the voice I'm used to).

I have nothing against ScarJo myself, I just can't shake the feeling it's the wrong fit (aside from Kaa traditionally being male as mentioned). Maybe I'll feel differently when I can watch the full movie.

I am rather looking forward to this given my links with Scouting and my dad once being Bagheera.

As for ScaJo being Kaa, I once knew a Cub Scout leader (who was a woman) who took that name.

I don't either. She's a good actress.
