Little Britain USA on HBO

I'm really surprised I couldn't find a thread on this...the US version of the Walliams/Lucas absurdity-fest premiered on Sunday night (and yes, Tom Baker is still narrator).

Funny as hell. Seriously twisted. Loved seeing some of the original show's returning characters as well as some pretty entertaining American characters (including a gun-loving cop, a NASA astronaut with self-esteem issues, and a couple of steroid-pumped body builders who love their bodies a little TOO much in the locker room at the gym).

Rosie O'Donnell appeared as the spokesperson for the Fat Watchers people (or whatever they're called). Lucas's obnoxious Fat Watchers woman asks her "Rosie, are you fat because you're a lesbian or are you a lesbian because you're fat?" :wtf: Such a clueless twit! :guffaw:

I didn't think they'd pull off a US version of the show too well when I first heard about it, but it was a hoot and a half! I'll be there each and every week for the rest of the series! :techman:

Caught the first episode last night. Great stuff. It's funny to see these characters transplanted to America, like the "Computer says no" woman and the wheelchair guy & his buddy.

^ Do you mean you don't get it in your TV package, or that you don't get the humor? A shame in any case. :)

I had no idea of what this show was, and I caught it by accident. Definitely made me laugh.

I thought it was very funny, although why they had to film it in America is anyone's guess. Of the new characters I liked Bing Gordon, and the Sheriff with the hardon was amusing. Andy and Lou is a joke that's gone on way too long though.
