Lindsey Duncan (Rome) cast as (final?) Tennant companion

Months ago the rumor was that Donna and Wilf were coming back for the final specials. That still sounds more credible to me than Martha making another return, and for better or for worse giving her a less-dark ending after her "permanent" departure would be very RTD. We'll know within a couple months, anyway, since they'll have to announce any returns before filming starts or there'll be leaks anyway.

I'd much prefer Donna than Martha... Jack would inject some sleaze in there and Eleven seems too young for him.

As much as I loved Donna in series 4, I do not want her showing up in one of the specials because I want the writers to maintain the conclusion of her story (a bit hypocritical, I suppose, considering how much I want The Doctor to run into Jamie again). If I could choose which new series companion I wanted to be present for The Doctor's regeneration, it would be Mickey. The poor guy doesn't get enough appreciation.

Go Mickey!

I agree with Brendan Moody, bringing Donna back and undoing what he's done would be a very RTD thing to do!

The "Rome" actress has been cast as one of the final companions in the second special (The one after the Michelle Ryan one). It's possible she'll be there for the regeneration (Presumably along with Martha)

She is perhaps best known to USA audiences for two roles: Servilla (Julius Caeser's spurned mistress and mother of Brutus) in "Rome" and as the silver droid that greets the Jedi in "Star Wars:The Phantom Menace".

Americans best know her as the silver droid in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace? LOL! She was amazing in that role... definitely deserved an Oscar!
